  • CBAs are Classroom Based Assignments that will be used to determine whether students have met the state standards in Social Studies. We will be doing three separate CBAs this year, one dealing with Constitutional issues during the early period of the Republic, one dealing with Checks and Balance during the Civil War and one dealing with Foreign Policy during the 1950s and 1960s.
  • Constitutional Issue CBA Student assignment:
    -Explain the concept of Federalism and how it applies to the United States during the period 1789 to 1835.
    -Evaluate various points of view on this issue.
    -Explain how federalism applies to different events (3-4) throughout this time period.
    -Develop a position on the issue that analyzes how individual rights and the common good can be balanced in relation to the issue.
    -Provide accurate reasons to support your position.
  • Paper Requirements:
    -2-3 pages typed, Double Spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt Font, 1" margins.
    -Must use your textbook and the CBA documents.
    -May use Internet sources, Library, other sources.
    -MLA format using in text citations.
